Hi, I’m Bhavini, a Charted Physiotherapist, a certified Pilates instructor and the owner of The Positive Movement Lab. I have over 20 years of experience as a Physio and have specialised in movement rehabilitation from the start of my career. Following an inquisitive journey to learn more in-depth Physio assessment techniques and expanding my knowledge of various treatment approaches, including Acupuncture and Kineso-taping, I eventually decided to take a leap into the world of Pilates. I qualified as a Clinical Pilates instructor in 2017 from the internationally recognised institute, Polestar Pilates. But if I’m honest I‘ve been infatuated by the experience I get doing Pilates ever since my early teens!
I’ve always loved playing sports, but I would say I love movement more and enjoy the feeling it brings. I’m at my happiest when I’m moving my body and learning how it interacts with all other aspects of my life including my mental health, emotional and spiritual health.
Over the years, like most of us, my exercise routine has been a bit hit and miss, but boy have a noticed how different I feel and how my body feels if I’m not in some sort of routine. What I’ve noticed about myself is I like to incorporate exercise into my daily habits, such as cycling to work; it fulfils two purposes and its cleaner for the environment (which is another one of my passions).
So here is my vision statement I make to you:
I am here to provide you my professional guidance through injury and pain, to cohesively support your recovery period and the aim of overall better health. I will continue to learn and grow as a therapist to provide the best available evidence-based care, in order to help educate and empower you as an individual, who is invested in their own well-being through commitment and self-care.
